Opticomm: We will carry out the lead-in² works to run fibre from the property boundary to the outside of your home. The fibre will then be connected to a small box, called a Premises Connection Device (PCD), which will be installed on the outside of your home.
At least 12 business days before work is due to be carried out at your address, we will notify you of your appointment, and complete and send you the required documentation including a LIFID notice, which outlines the type of work that will be performed at your property.
You: Ensure the owner or authorised representative, who is 18 years or older, is at home during the lead-in appointment. If you're renting, your landlord must provide permission for the works to be carried out.
On the day of your initial installation appointment, the technician will discuss the installation plan, the lead-in work and the proposed lead-in route and PCD location at your home. These details will be noted on an agreement by the technician and you will be asked to sign this agreement.
